SDN refers to a network infrastructure in which the network control plane is decoupled from the physical topology. It provides operators with several advantages including increased flexibility and performance along with simplified operations. It is emerging as one of the most promising networking technologies in recent years. The concept would give network operators better control of their infrastructure, allowing optimization and customization reducing the operational and capital costs. Through SDNs, network operators can build their infrastructure, while at the same time, incumbent vendors and startups develop products for operators and enterprises. The Software-Defined Networking (SDN) Market research report covers application segments, worldwide trends, market forces, features and benefits and adoption factors for SDNs.
